A: The program and all the materials are at no cost to you.

Q: How do I know that this education is effective?
A. Independant 3rd party research based on participant responses demonstrates the increase in awareness and improvement in skills.
Please ask us for our Executive Summary with all the details.

Q: Why do you offer budgeting as part of your curriculum?
A. It seems increasingly important in this economy for our youth to understand the financial basics of credit cards and designing and maintaining a budget.

Q: What is the quickest way to contact you?
A: Call us directly at 207-699-2464 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or e-mail us at info@best4teens.org .

Q: Why don't you have anything on your MaineTeenTalk.org website for people in same sex relationships?
A: Relationship skills are a universal need.  Everyone can benefit from them, at every stage of their life.  The concepts on our website can be used by everyone and applied to all relationships.

Q: Why is the Healthy Relationship resource only available to high school teens?
A: The teenage years are an especially important time for developing relationship education, as teens are working on developing life-long habits. This resource was developed specifically for the high school age population.  We would love to develop a program for the Middle School youth.

Q: Is this a faith-based organization?
A: No, this is a non-profit organization with funding provided through a federal grant from the US Dept of Health and Human Services. Federal regualtions prohibit us from adopting one set of values over another. We make our resources available to anyone who is interested in teaching high school teens about healthy relationships.

Q: Is this an abstinence program?
A: No, this is a healthy relationship education program that helps teens build skills to communicate effectively and understand how to engage in healthy relationships.
