MaineTeenTalk Healthy Relationships

We are pleased to offer our Healthy Relationships curriculum - a unique, research-based educational program designed specifically for teens in Maine.  Interactive chapters provide proven strategies for relationship and communication skill-building. Our 8-hour course makes use of multi-media components, games and role plays.

Teen depression, violence, emotional isolation, cyberbullying, and suicide have reached critical levels.  MaineTeenTalk's Healthy Relationships program offers a proven approach to help address these important issues.

The MTT Healthy Relationships curriculum was developed as a Teach Out Of the Box (TOOB) resource.  This means that a teacher or any interested professional adult can easily follow our Teacher's Guide and present the information with little preparation time.

Given the cutbacks suffered by the educational community, it's good to know that there is no cost to you for the materials or support.

Please contact us to bring this program to your high school or youth development organization:

  Our Second Annual

"Pulling Together For Teens"

  Airplan Pull

MaineTeenTalk would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's "Pulling Together For Teens" Airplane Pull Event. Held on Saturday June 19th at the Sanford Regional Airport, this year's event featured four pull teams and a new champion. Last year's winner, the Notre Dame Cobras semi-pro football team, were unable to field a team, so they did not have the opportunity to defend their title.

This year's champion, the Acton Fire Department, won a thrilling "pull-off" against the Rocking Iron Ladies - our first all female team. With a winning time of 4.96 seconds, the fearless firefighters of the Acton Fire Department walked away with the gold. Because of their impressive showmanship during the event, they also secured our newly minted "Best In Show" award.

Coming in second was the Rocking Iron Ladies. Back for their second year of competition, the crew from Fallbrook Woods Assisted Living Center took third place. Check out our Events Page for more photos of this fun-filled day.
