MaineTeenTalk: Healthy Relationships Education

We are pleased to offer our  Healthy Relationships curriculum-   a unique, research-based educational program designed specifically for teens in Maine.  Interactive chapters provide proven strategies for relationship and communication skill-building. Our 8-hour course makes use of multi-media components, games and role plays.
 
Depression, violence, emotional isolation, cyberbullying, and suicide have reached critical levels in Maine teens.  MaineTeenTalk's Healthy Relationships program offers a proven approach to help address these and other important issues.

MTT
's Healthy Relationships curriculum was developed as a "Teach Out Of the Box" (TOOB) resource.  This means that a teacher or any interested professional adult can easily follow our Teacher's Guide and present the information with little preparation time. 
 
Given the cutbacks in the educational community, it's good to know that there is no cost to Maine educators for the materials or support.

    Staff Spotlight: 

  Lucas Good


This month's spotlight features MaineTeenTalk's newest Educator, Lucas!




Lucas is a 2008 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono where he earned his B.A. in Elementary Education.  He has joined the  MaineTeenTalk team just in time for the new school year. In addition to being an educator, Lucas is also a rock climbing enthusiast and certified climbing instructor through the Professional Climbing Instructors Association of America. Lucas can often be found on the beach kicking a soccer ball or with his nose stuck in a newspaper.
